Associate Membership of Malayalam Film and Television Chamber of Commerce – Artist and Technician

The Associate Membership of any organization or institution is unique, prestigious, most honoured and privileged.
The Associate Membership of the Malayalam Film and Television Chamber of Commerce has several advantages.

People who attained 18 years working or willing to work predominantly in the Malayalam Film and Television Industry whether in Cinema, Television, Web Series and Web Based Assignments, Advertisements, Short Films, Production Houses, Distributors, Exhibitors, Film Creations, Serials, Film and Television Academies and people who plays significant role in the film and television industry directly or indirectly. In the case of youngsters who not attained 18 years, any one of their parents or guardian can apply for Associate Membership on their behalf.

Malayalam Film and Television Chamber of Commerce will accept only online membership applications as online mode has obvious advantages.
The membership application can be sent by anyone at any time round the clock from anywhere in the world and it will save time, money and avoid sending application form and documents in physical form by post or courier.

Advantages of MFTC Associate Membership

  1. Lowest Associate Membership charges compared to any other organizations.
  2.  It is easy to become an Associate Member of the MFTC. No strict terms and conditions applicable to become an Associate Member for any artist from any field.
  3. The MFTC Associate Membership is applicable to both film and television industry as the Malayalam Film and Television Chamber of Commerce is the umbrella organization of the entertainment industry. Thus an artist can avoid becoming a Member in Cinema and Television organizations separately.
  4.  The validity of Associate Membership is for one year.
  5. The Associate Membership card is distinctive with attractive colour.
  6. The Associate Members are eligible for special concession and discounts for MFTC organized programmes, shows, events, functions, workshops, training programmes and courses conducted and books published.
  7. The MFTC Associate Membership has cogency and honour. The Associate Member will enjoy special seating and privileged welcome in all MFTC programmes.
  8.  If the membership card is lost, damaged or photo faded out and new address to be added, only ₹ 200 will be charged for issuing a new membership card. Speed Post charge will be extra.
  9.  Access to member-exclusive webinars, online programmes and seminars-a platform on which to interact with peers, subject experts and leaders on key subject areas of the entertainment industry.
  10.  The MFTC will conduct mentorship programmes to Associate Members.
All artists or aspiring artists and technicians or assistants in the Film and Television industry are considered for Artist Membership and issued the Artist Membership Card. All others come under Benefactor category and issued Membership Card accordingly. The Benefactor Members can only vote for sector specific elections and not for the Managing Committee elections of the MFTC. However, the Managing Committee and Board of Directors can co-opt or nominate Benefactor Members or Corporate Members as per the discretionary powers vested with them for the vacant posts subject to a maximum 1/3rd of the total Managing Committee strength.

An Associate Member has to pay ₹5,165 while applying for membership as detailed below:

At least one week before the expiry date of annual membership, an annual subscription of ₹2,500 to be paid to keep the Associate Membership in valid status failing which the membership will be automatically cancelled and the name will be removed from the register. No special notification will be sent for renewal of membership. To validate the lapsed membership, a new application to be made at the prevailing fees.
The Associate Member has voting right in the general elections. However, an Associate Member cannot contest in general elections.
The Associate Member writer can register online story, one line of story and script by paying the appropriate fees.
Always remember to pay the appropriate fees and fill up the correct payment reference number before submitting the application form. The Membership Fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted.
