MFTC Film Club
The Malayalam Film and Television Chamber of Commerce (MFTC) was incorporated on 22nd June, 2020, under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, as a Non-Profit Organization (NPL). Its mission is to promote, develop, encourage, and protect the rights of its members and associates, fostering fellowship and welfare—not just in Kerala, but across India and globally.
The Launch of the MFTC Film Club
On October 2, 2025 (Vijayadasami Day), MFTC proudly launched the MFTC Film Club, with its inauguration held at the iconic Ayyappa Temple, Kalyan East. This initiative serves as a vibrant platform to promote, educate, train, and involve members in film appreciation, acting, and production, in alignment with MFTC’s non-profit objectives of advancing art, education, and social welfare.
A Groundbreaking Partnership: MFTC and Uroob Films LLP
Adding to the excitement, Uroob Films LLP, a new production company, was launched in the Malayalam month of Chingam (August 2025). Their maiden Malayalam feature film will explore the Malayali diaspora in Mumbai and its suburbs, capturing their journey from the 1970s to the present day.
This project is not only groundbreaking for its compelling theme but also for its collaboration with MFTC Film Club members. MFTC has partnered with Uroob Films LLP to involve trained Film Club members from Kalyan, Navi Mumbai, and other suburbs.
This partnership offers real-world opportunities for Film Club members to work on a major cinematic endeavor, gain hands-on experience in film production, and grow as part of the larger Malayalam film industry.
